NANCY – Web Application & Registration Development

Lenders Discount Card – Subscriber Fees Management

Work Type: AI + Manual Work

Nancy completed substantial development on the Subscriber Fees management functionality for the Lenders Discount Card project.

The goal was to allow administrators to create and manage fee types without requiring developer assistance while preserving existing Subscription Fee functionality, subscriber workflows, and ledger information. Pasted markdown

Custom Fee Management

Administrators can now manage custom fee definitions directly through WordPress.

The functionality supports:

  • Creating new fee types
  • Defining fee names
  • Setting fee amounts
  • Activating or deactivating fees
  • Selecting Manual or Automatic application
  • Editing custom fees
  • Deleting custom fee definitions
  • Viewing fees through a centralized catalogue

Creating, editing, or activating a custom fee does not automatically charge a subscriber. Pasted markdown

Manual & Automatic Fees

Manual fees require an administrator to select an active fee and approved subscriber and explicitly apply the fee.

Automatic fees support a configurable trigger, with the current implementation supporting application once a subscriber is approved.

Safeguards were added to prevent duplicate automatic applications for the same subscriber and fee. Pasted markdown

Subscriber Fees Admin Interface

The interface was consolidated under:

Subscribers → Subscriber Fees

It was reorganized into three primary sections:

  1. Add New Fee
  2. Existing Fee Application
  3. Custom Fee Catalogue

This replaced a more complex editing interface with a clearer administrative workflow. Pasted markdown

Edit, Delete & Unified Fee Application

Custom fee editing and deletion were improved, while historical ledger transactions and previous balances remain preserved when a fee definition is removed.

The Existing Fee Application section now provides a unified selection interface covering built-in fees and eligible custom fees. Automatic fees cannot be manually charged through this interface. Pasted markdown

Data Protection & Validation

Existing subscriber and ledger functionality was preserved, including transaction history, subscription-fee behavior, subscriber approval, portal functionality, and related workflows. Pasted markdown

Security and validation controls include administrator permission checks, WordPress nonce validation, fee-name and amount validation, subscriber validation, trigger validation, and duplicate automatic-fee protection. Pasted markdown

Deployment & Verification

Relevant PHP files were backed up and linted before and after deployment.

The final configuration contained:

  • 4 custom fee records
  • 2 Manual custom fees
  • 2 Automatic custom fees
  • 4 Active custom fees
  • Subscription Fee configuration present

Real subscriber approval and manual fee application were intentionally not performed because doing so could create ledger transactions or alter existing subscriber balances. A controlled acceptance test with an approved test subscriber was recommended before bank-linked go-live. Pasted markdown

Status: Development Completed / Controlled Acceptance Testing Recommended

HEATWAVE for SickKids® 2027 – Registration Email Workflow

Work Type: AI + Manual Work

Nancy also investigated and corrected registration-email issues affecting team information.

The administrator notification had been showing empty values for Division, Captain, Captain Email, and Captain Cell, particularly when Same as Primary Corporate Contact was selected. Pasted markdown

Administrator Notification Fix

Form 9067 and the existing 2027 Registration Administrator Notification were reviewed.

Fixes included:

  • Restoring Team Name
  • Restoring Division
  • Restoring Captain Name
  • Restoring Captain Email
  • Restoring Captain Cell
  • Adding a server-side fallback for Same as Primary Corporate Contact
  • Correcting repeater-field matching
  • Keeping the existing administrator notification active
  • Disabling the duplicate administrator notification

The registration route continued to return HTTP 200 after the changes. Pasted markdown

Registrant Confirmation Email

A separate confirmation email was configured for the Primary Corporate Contact.

The confirmation includes company and contact information, participation details, teams, event information, divisions, captains, payment method/status, itemized pricing, registration total, and instructions for requesting registration changes.

Sensitive card information—including card number, expiry date, and security code—is excluded. Pasted markdown

Following approval, the registrant confirmation email was enabled for completed registrations. No live registration or outbound confirmation email was sent during the final verification. Pasted markdown

Status: Implemented and Enabled

Keyword & Performance Research

AnswerThePublic research covered Durham Region, Oshawa, Whitby, Ajax, Pickering, and Clarington.

The research identified question-based searches, long-tail terms, local-search opportunities, FAQs, content gaps, and potential future content.

The Full SEO Optimization Report remains in progress with audit findings, technical SEO, on-page optimization, keyword research, performance analysis, screenshots, verification, remaining issues, and future recommendations being documented.

Pending & Follow-Up Work

Several items remain active after the day’s work. Canadian Obituaries has 32 records requiring manual follow-up. Home Buying Seminars and Drone Security Services are awaiting destination-server and domain information. The AAWS Fleet Monitor reported three execution failures requiring investigation.

HEATWAVE’s newly identified event-date dropdown rendering issue requires correction and verification. Lenders Discount Card should receive a controlled acceptance test using an explicitly approved test subscriber before bank-linked go-live. Pasted markdown
