The AAWS team started the second full week of January with a significant focus on SEO recovery, site-wide accessibility, and the integration of advanced AI workflows.

Development & Technical Team

MIKE

  • Standing Soldier Project: Developed the Home, About, and Election pages.
  • Technical Fixes: Implemented a new footer, subscription form, and validated mobile responsiveness across all new pages.
  • Training: Completed a series of Loom training sessions regarding Website Testing and Admin setup.

ALEX

  • BFO Durham: Created dedicated Garden of Remembrance pages for September, October, November, and December.
  • New Development: Initiated the homepage build f
  • Training: Adopted new features , including form duplication and password-based restrictions.

KEVIN

  • All About Durham: Added sidebar functionality to post pages and integrated a new Newsletter field. Successfully implemented a popup kit button using ChatGPT-assisted custom code.
  • Durham Construction Association: Integrated new client advertisements with a set expiry of January 12, 2027.
  • Tees and Cues: Customized the site footer using custom CSS.

HENRY

  • Vintners Cellar Bowmanville: Designed the site using the Astra theme. Completed 60% of site customization, including the Home and About pages, to align with the brand identity.

SEO & Strategy Specialists

KAT

  • Durham Power of Sale: Achieved a major SEO milestone, increasing the Ubersuggest score from 64 to 94.

NANCY

  • Oshawa Chiropractor: Optimized the Chiropractic and FAQ pages with new internal linking structures and heading hierarchies.
  • Infrastructure: Connected new sites, including dronepilots.ca, to the MainWP dashboard via Hostinger.
  • Reporting: Dispatched December 2025 monthly performance reports to all clients.

Content, News & AI Innovation

FATHIMA

  • AI Research: Explored 12 essential free AI tools
    • Identified workflows for Notebook LM (research organization), Granola AI (meeting summaries), and Goblin Tools (task breakdown).
    • Noted that Google Workspace Studio is a paid feature despite being featured in “free” tool lists.
  • Deliverables: Completed the first two assigned task deliverables.

ZARA

  • Aruba News: Published 13 news articles, including coverage on the Bubali hit-and-run and Arubaparking policy changes at arubanews.ca.
  • All About Durham: Published 13 local news items regarding recycling disruptions, Whitby road safety, and top employers.

ADAM

  • HeyGen Integration: Produced and uploaded the first draft of the “Durham Seasonal Marketing Almanac” video using HeyGen’s AI avatar technology.

JAKE

  • Obituaries: Published 40 new obituaries to canadianobituaries.com, including 32 for Ontario and 4 for British Columbia, ensuring all regional records are current.
